It's very similar to banshee but if you do want > the album art it's a process you need to kick off manually > > Dan > I used to use Amarok (in my KDE3.x days) but now use Rhythmbox. Rhythmbox has a plugin which fetches the album art from the internet, simply disable that plugin and voila! No album art. :)
