They aren't strictly a bussines, but Uckfield Community Technology College (UCTC) use Ubuntu Server 8.04 (LTS). I don't know whether they'd be willing to give you more details (website is http://www.uctc.e-sussex.sch.uk ), but I can give you a brief overiew of how they use it: There's a network of hand-built thinclients (ITX), which have no HD or CD drive, they boot off of PXE. Usually they boot off of PXE to Thinstation (which then connects to a Citrix Presentation Server running on one of 13 M$ Server 2003 boxes). However, if you press a key on startup within 1 second of acquiring an IP address, you get a PXE boot menu, which allows you to boot off of Thinstation, Trinity Rescue Kit or Ubuntu. Ubuntu works by using LTSP to connect to the Ubuntu LTSP server. When you login, passwords are checked via a LDAP server running on localhost.
