I'm finding more and more files that have duplicates - presumably backup files, as they have a tilde in the file name. For example, index.html and index.htm~
They don't show in Nautilus, but they do show in dialogue boxes such as "open file", and in programs such as Filezilla. I'm running 8.10, I've been looking at both OS and program preferences, but I can't solve this. It only seems to have started recently, but it is a pain especially if I want to select a block of files. Any advice welcome - thanks!
