The last meeting however due to the lateness in sending the email, not many turned up in time and as such the meeting has been postponed to this Saturday. However quite a few did turn up apologising an hour afterwards which was surprising :).
The IRC network is irc.freenode.net or if preferred irc.ubuntu.com (ubuntu forwards to freenode) and the channel will be #ubuntu-cym. For strangers too IRC, it is basically a protocol like MSN or Jabber however it is aimed at group chatting in "channels" on servers or networks rather than 1-to-1 however 1-to-1 chatting can still be obtained .
