Well ssh is the easy bit! I always got confused with setting up the "ssh tunnel" on the machine you were sitting at.
I think I've got it now though. The actual setting up of OpenSSH and VNC on the remote machine was easy. It's connecting to the damn things though firewalls and stuff!
