I upgraded to 8.04 about a week after release, and since the first update I've had this on my Update Manager:
Distribution updates libgtk1.2 GIMP Toolkit set of widgets for X This one item never installs; if I click on it, it simply removes the tick. I've ignored it, but I'm wondering what it's for - I know GIMP is installed by default and I haven't removed it.
