In March 2007 Richard Ibbotson advertised a mapping day in Sheffield. This was for openstreetmap.org which is a world wide free street map. I remember looking at it at the time and it led me to other sites with explanations of how to start mapping and other free mapping sites. I've had a quick look but couldn't find what I was looking for. Try on the sheflug mailing list. That is where the invitation came from. Good Luck Ged
