DVI and VGA don't carry audio, so you would need a separate audio cable. The DVI>HDMI cable just takes the video output from the PC and throws is at the panel. If you have a motherboard with HDMI output then it should do the lot with one cable (Although how well this is supported I don't know)On Sat, Mar 1, 2008 at 1:04 AM, Rob Beard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Narrf wrote: > Kris Douglas wrote: >> Pricy? Maybe if I win the lottery or something I might be able to get one. For now I've just stretched a DVI to HDMI cable to the TV, so I can get Ubuntu up in HD quality (but the sound doesn't work in digital mode, haven't figured that out yet - that's something for another day). You need to have another audio cable going from the audio out to your tv, then you need to specify the audio source as pc. But sometimes even that doesn't work and using a VGA cable is better. Mj |
