Err, this is a bit of a daft question but having never used one before ....
The web cam does the pictures, but what about the sound? I presume that a web cam is like a normal domestic video cam in that it takes both pictures and sound, combines it into a suitable transport protocol and then sends it wherever required? Alternatively, if there's a fool's guide to web cams point me in that direction and I'll read up on it!
