That original post did make for depressing reading, and there was I expecting it to be a success story. I would imagine that just about every non-tech savvy person would immediately return the box on seeing the "out of range" error when booting up the machine for the first time.
Not having the username and password printed in the documentation is also unforgivable. I don't know about anyone else but it wouldn't have occurred to me to try 'esys/esys' as the username and password - is the writer of the original article psychic or something??? Tbh I'd rather they didn't sell a box like this at all in its current state - any non-techie user is likely to never go anywhere near linux again after this initial experience...
