I was a Fasthosts customer about five years ago and experienced nothing but problem after problem. Regarding the original question, I'm too looking into hosting options for e-mail. I've been considering paying the $50 per year for the Google Apps service. I've been using the standard Gmail service for a number of years now and I'm quite happy with it. I think the extra features of the Google Apps service would only improve an already good reliable service.
