I tend to use the 'intel' driver, the other one it detect never seems to
work for  me??

You are better off using GUI to edit these, but

in your /etc/X11/xorg.cong

Section "Device"
Driver   "inter"

and

Section "Screen"
Depth 24
Modes "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL 
PROTECTED]"


Or whatever your screen resolutions are. Be careful with the refresh
rates though, you get it wrong and it can cause problems, maybe damage.
