I've been using Nildram for as long as I've had ADSL (3 years now I
think). I pay a bit than I should - £25.99pcm - but I get essentially
unlimited for that.

It's generally been fine. Only a couple of outages from Nildram
themselves, the rest have been BT's fault. Customer service is appalling
though - if my problem hadn't been fixed the next day I would have
switched to someone (anyone) else.
