< snip > When the activity started, something like 'mythbackend' flashed up and then disappeared, whilst the activity continued. I closed mythtv backend and the activity stopped. So, where the activity originated from seems to be settled now I need to find the reason for this. There must be some search routine or other that mythtv carries out on a regular basis, more searching needed.
