I see no reason not to just use the default ext3. Other filesystems _may_ yield better performance on a very busy system, but for _most_ users ext3 is a good balance of performance, stability and reliability. > or to be more precise what options would you put in /etc/fstab ? > You can't change the filesystem type just by editing /etc/fstab.
