I have just noticed this thread and wondered if I could help. I often use k3b and frequently burn DVDs using Mythtv. I do not understand these things very well but I believe that they all use the same software to do the actual burning. If you don't mind, could you say what you are trying to do in as non-technical a way as possible and I will try to help.
