Hi Diane If you've already got a router I'd suggest sticking with that and eithre FlogIt! or Freecycle the freebie.
I'm not aware of any scary stories about Orange as n ISP, but, apologies if I'm teaching Granny to suck eggs here, but the most painful bit of the whole lot will be the migration between the ISPs. Although this has got a lot better over the past 12 months, you have to be prepared to be without service for at least 10 working days after it becomes apparent that the migration failed. Also, before moving make sure that your current ISP isn't going to levy a migration fee that's unreasonable; in this case cease the service and approach Orange as new if you can. On a more positive note though, PC Answers, I think it was, ran an article some 2 - 3 months ago about the combination contracts now available - ie to combine both your Orange mobile with the ISP package to get discounted rates. But beware of the small print. HTH E. We're already Orange mobile customers, but as I'm new to Ubuntu I'm wondering if anyone already uses the Livebox with Ubuntu, and can give me any feedback. Or any other Ubuntu-friendly ISP suggestions!
