[snip] I may be mistaken but wouldn't the following be easier: Open a folder window, click view->preferences select the Behaviour tab, and change it from 'Double click to activate items' to 'single click to activate items'. Because it is simple and easy, I've tried it. Ok except it is under edit and not view, only to find it is set to single click already. Will try Tony Arnold's method when I have some peace. Ta again. --
