Had a quick look at awstats and find that a knowledge of perl is needed and
use of command line which I havn't used since DOS days, so it looks too
difficult for me although the output is what I want.  Done no language since
Fortran 4 and Commodore BASIC.

You could try awstats, that makes some good looking statistics, and it's
completely free under the GPL. :)
