Hi Ashley, I am running Ubuntu 6.10 with network-manager-gnome. As far as I know, on network manager i can only configure wireless connections and can't turn the wired connections off without turning wireless off as well. I've tried to reinstall the network manager, but without success. Any other suggestions?
Thanks. Daniel On 17/12/06, Ashley Hooper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

I'm not sure which release of Ubuntu you're running, but you may want to install one of the following packages: network-manager-gnome network-manager-kde They give you a nice system tray applet that lets you select between wired or wireless connections, and easily configure your wireless encryption type (WEP/WPA) and encryption keys.
