We try to probe the monitor to see what resolutions to the screen can
display. If that data is duff, we have to fallback to the lowest resolution
possible.
You can override the auto-detected capabilities:
HorizSync 30-95
VertRefresh 50-160
in the "Monitor" section found in:
/etc/X11/xorg.conf
