I did get one from someone else in the group. Firstly, MANLUG are having an Install Fest on 21st October. Not specifically Ubuntu, but they plan to have installtion CDs there and people with experience. I may go myself! Secondly, I now have an account on the MANLUG WEB site (www.manlug.mcc.ac.uk) so I can put an article on there about the UK LoCo team and LinuxWorldExpo. Thirdly, he was quite happy for me to advertise the MANLUG meetings to this list, so count this as the first step. Details can be found on the web site ref'd above. Fourthly, the LUG tends to get a reasonably large number of CDs from Canonical with each new release. These are distributed to LUG members and also around the University. So all in all, the LUG is quite Ubuntu friendly and active. I'm sure they would be happy to have an Ubuntu specific day, presuming we can get a couple of speakers.
