Attending the previous two shows, I notice that most stands were the conventional layout of a stand with a distinct 'us' and 'you' layout, so that a passing visitor did not feel 'included' into the stand until they took the hurdle of getting right in. Ubuntu being what it is and its ethic, it would be great if there was some, even subtle way, of reducing any physical barrier to having a quick look or a quick word, from passing spectators. Obviously will depend on the actual layout etc. And our attitudes on the stand too. A recurring problem with newcomers and non experts is about wireless cards, including ndiswrapper. I am not at all an expert and have not yet had the courage or the resolution to try using it and its implications. Any newbie friendly demo etc would be most welcomed I think (including by me), leaflets, videos etc. > Id like to ask you all to help with committing to hardware ( even the > small stuff like cables and power bricks ) that will be available for > the show and how it will get to the show and I will be asking for this > prior to end of September. > > Im still waiting on comments from Brian about the stand dimensions , > fascillities and access so we are still working to a rough note here. > > Thats all for now, thanks again to those of you whom have committed to > helping out for the show your efforts are all much appreciatted. > > oh one more thing.. > > Shall we all head out for a Drink and a curry on the evening of the Set > up ?
