It's quite rare for anyone to migrate to a Linux/Unix without some kind
of 'push'. Often it's a friend or relation who has already made the
jump, and can encourage with a 'I'll help' or 'It's really easy', and
the 'yes it really is free' helps too.

I've moved to Ubuntu from systems that I've built from scratch from
source myself, so I guess I'm a strange beasty - but I encourage friends
and relations with the LiveCD to have a go. I suspect that a magazine
would help.

There are vast numbers of older folk who have got into Computer/Internet
to keep in touch with their family - they are almost exclusively
Outlook/Word users who never buy games. They need easy set up that must
include printers and, most importantly, the digital camera.

What I'm on about is that the Market Segmentation is key. One magazine
is unlikely to work for everyone. I'm happy to help with questionnaires.

R.
