Hi all, The Register recently did a good article about everything that's wrong with the current "smart" TV offering: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/11/21/feature_why_do_smart_tvs_suck/
There are some very good points in the article which all bog down to "the UI was designed without the user in mind". I'm sure this won't be the case with Ubuntu TV but it may be worth looking at the issues raised in this article.
