I'm going to respond to this because I think it's referencing my post,
apologies if I'm incorrect:
I'm just assuming that since we control the Ubuntu-TV, Ubuntu-Phone, and
Ubuntu-Tablet projects, we're going to be able to make everything play
really nicely together, which I doubt will be as easy if you're trying
to use IOS/Android. I didn't intend to imply intentional vendor
lock-in, just that the Ubuntu products would be so awesome that of
course everyone would want them whenever possible. ;)
There is, however, the reality that it may not be realistic to have TV
apps for Linux/Android/Windows/WindowsMobile7/IOS/OSX, and someone may
need to prioritize on just a few platforms. If that's the case, then I
think there's probably consensus that linux should be one of the ones we
focus on.
This entire discussion is pointless at this juncture, I'm aware, since
no one has actually written any code yet.
