Hi Milo, Having had a look at the upstream bug, here's a suggestion to move forward: 1) Provide a patch against the upstream git repository, marking the strings in the .policy file as translatable and making any necessary adjustments in the build system. Here [1] [2] are a couple of similar bugs, the patches for which can be used as a reference. 2) File a bug in the corresponding Ubuntu package (is it consolekit?) and link it to the upstream bug. 3) If upstream is unresponsive, you can create a patch against the Ubuntu package (based on the one created in step 1) and attach it to the bug as a debdiff. As we are in UI freeze already, you should probably justify how important the strings are for the developers to take the change into consideration. I hope this helps. Regards, David.
