The issue is on line 122 and 123:
| dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/python-sugar-0.88_0.88.0-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
(--install):
| trying to overwrite '/usr/share/pyshared/sugar/__init__.py', which is
also in package sugar-base 0:0.88.0-1~ppa1

That's because at some point the PPA included a "sugar-base" package.
The immediate fix is for somebody to reupload python-sugar-0.88 and have
it "Conflict:" and "Replaces:" sugar-base.

sugar-base is not in the PPA, so *new* installs should be okay.

We probably should mention that 10.04 is currently unsupported and to
use the official packages in Maverick or wait for Lucid packages to
stabilize.

Bugs in PPA packages should be filed against "usr" in Launchpad,
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/usr>.

Does `sudo apt-get remove -f sugar-base` resolve your problem?
