This morning dipankar sere debugging a package and he asked about
using Launch Pad as the bug tracker for Sugar.

After thinking about a while it seems that Sugar on LP is such a mess
it deserves a email rather than just a couple of lines on IRC.

In theory we should be able to view all sugar related bugs via
launchpad at https://bugs.launchpad.net/~sugarteam/+packagebugs .

In practice this fails miserably for several reasons:
1. Bug reporters can not report bugs against packages in a PPA. --
FIX by 10.10 we must move all Sugar packages to Universe.
2. Packages must be assigned to SugarTeam -- CURRENTLY all of the
packages in lucid universe are auto synced from Debain with Jonas as
the owner. FIX all packages upload to ubuntu universe must be
assigned to SugarTeam for proper bug tracking.
3. There is alot of cruft in the Sugar related packages in the PPA.
Over the years there have been at least four seperate efforts to
package sugar for Ubuntu. FIX we must remove all of the curft reports
in LP.

There is some very basic wiki stubs at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuSugarRemix/GettingInvolved that should
be filled out.
