Hi Erich,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Definitely "menulibre" messed things up. I got the favourites back installing and using "alacarte". The icons are missing (I got the default one for all the Ubuntu Studio favourites), but I decided to leave it as it is for now.

I also found more info about this issue here:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/795431/ubuntu-studio-menu-audio-video-production-graphics-directory-menu-entry-disapp

I will double check your recommendation at some point though and share the results here.

Cheers,
Mario

Hi,

I'm running Xubuntu 22.04.1 LTS with UbuntuStudio installed using Ubuntu
Studio Installer.

I was wondering if there is a way to "re-install" the categories in the
Whisker menu (ie Audio Production, Video Production, etc.), since I seem
to have accidentally removed them, together with few apps (QJack, Studio
Controls, etc.), that I managed to bring back.

I'm still trying to understand how I did it, all I know is that I was
installing few things like RtAudio, some Octave packages and Unity, so
I'm sure I must have done something stupid there.

I re-ran Ubuntu Studio installer, but that didn't do anything.

Cheers,
Mario
If you enable the Backports PPA from Ubuntu Studio Installer and install
ubuntustudio-menu from there (or upgrade to the one in there), it should fix
the issue for you. If you somehow edited the menu with menulibre or a similar
tool, then it might override the menu defaults it makes.
