Can you try 'python3'? On a side note, I was surprised that python3 was note the default in the upgrade. I had manually set python3 as the default in my 19.10 and that was switched back to python 2.x when I upgraded.

So I did a clean install and Gimp now loads and works mostly OK. The issue now is it can't find python. I know this has been an issue with Gimp on Linux previously and it could be solved by 'sudo apt install gimp-python', but this doesn't work.

Output from terminal '/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory'
I can see there's no env in bin.
Does anyone know how to fix this please?
I have searched online but the solutions aren't relevant to the current Gimp version/Linux.
