Hi, (note: the following takes place when I boot the low-latency kernel, no similar messages when I use the generic kernel...) (also, yes, it's 19.04...I have other machines with 19.10 on they have other issues. So, I have not upgraded this particular laptop to 19.10.)
After a recent apt update/upgrade on 19.04 UbuntuStudio I started to see: BUG: scheduling while atomic: Cache2 I/O/1999/0x00000002 when I shut down. When I boot, dmesg shows (only grabbed part of the output, there's a lot...): [ 255.094676] Code: 77 01 c3 48 8b 15 a9 6d 0d 00 f7 d8 64 89 02 48 c7 c0 ff ff ff ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 66 90 b8 15 00 00 00 0f 05 <48> 3d 00 f0 ff ff 77 01 c3 48 8b 15 79 6d 0d 00 f7 d8 64 89 02 b8 [ 255.094677] RSP: 002b:00007f7573222be8 EFLAGS: 00000246 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000015 [ 255.094678] RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 00007f755e408230 RCX: 00007f7583b030e7 [ 255.094679] RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 0000000000000000 RDI: 00007f756a520888 [ 255.094679] RBP: 0000000000000000 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 [ 255.094680] R10: 0000000000000000 R11: 0000000000000246 R12: 00007f75781047c0 [ 255.094681] R13: 00007f755bdaa064 R14: 00007f7573222c47 R15: 0000000000000001 [ 255.105707] BUG: scheduling while atomic: Cache2 I/O/1999/0x00000002 [ 255.105710] Modules linked in: rfcomm thunderbolt nvidia_uvm(OE) ec_sys cmac bnep binfmt_misc nvidia_drm(POE) nvidia_modeset(POE) nls_iso8859_1 snd_hda_codec_hdmi nvidia(POE) snd_hda_codec_realtek intel_rapl x86_pkg_temp_thermal snd_hda_codec_generic ledtrig_audio intel_powerclamp arc4 coretemp kvm_intel snd_hda_intel kvm snd_hda_codec snd_hda_core irqbypass snd_hwdep snd_pcm crct10dif_pclmul snd_seq_midi crc32_pclmul uvcvideo ghash_clmulni_intel snd_seq_midi_event snd_rawmidi iwlmvm videobuf2_vmalloc aesni_intel videobuf2_memops videobuf2_v4l2 btusb aes_x86_64 mac80211 snd_seq crypto_simd btrtl cryptd glue_helper videobuf2_common input_leds drm_kms_helper videodev intel_cstate btbcm iwlwifi joydev mxm_wmi intel_wmi_thunderbolt btintel intel_rapl_perf snd_seq_device wmi_bmof media drm serio_raw snd_timer bluetooth ipmi_devintf cfg80211 snd ipmi_msghandler fb_sys_fops syscopyarea ecdh_generic sysfillrect sysimgblt soundcore acpi_pad mac_hid sch_fq_codel cuse parport_pc ppdev lp sunrpc [ 255.105737] parport ip_tables x_tables autofs4 system76_io(OE) system76_acpi(OE) hid_generic usbhid hid sdhci_pci ahci cqhci alx psmouse i2c_i801 sdhci mdio libahci video wmi [ 255.105745] CPU: 7 PID: 1999 Comm: Cache2 I/O Tainted: P W OE 5.0.0-38-lowlatency #41-Ubuntu [ 255.105746] Hardware name: System76, Inc.
