With wine, you are not guaranteed support for applications that are not created for the operating system you are using. All of Linux is completely open, and everyone, including the creators of those software applications, are welcome to create native Linux applications for you. If those companies do not create native applications for Linux, then you may have to except the compromise that the applications do not work, since you are promised support for a completely different operating system. There is nothing that Ubuntu studio is doing to prevent those applications from working, but there is also a little we can do to facilitate their functioning properly, since they are not Linux applications. I suggest joining the wine community, and sharing your exact errors, and seeing if you can get the applications working acceptably.
