Instructions depends from your environment. However, command line should work the same on most *nux distros: sudo dd if=/path/to/image.iso of=/dev/sdb (assuming your usb stick is mounted as /dev/sbd ) My only booable Linux at the mo, is my 16 gig usb drive with 13..1o 64 bit studio on. Obviosly I can't boot off that drive and then create thee 14.o4 install? Does that make sense?
Then go to http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/try-ubuntu-before-you-install and follow instructions for windows (look for 'Help with installing Ubuntu')
