Hi! Recently i had an issue with my graphics card. I fixed it, but then i started investigating what caused my problem. And i remembered i had installed a game, an fps called redeclipse. I have a rather abusive teenage past with quake, so i quickly removed it to save myself :)
This game seem to be using my Nvidia, so i thought i'd resintall it, just to see if i could repeat the error. and the terminal tells me this: $ sudo apt-get install redeclipse [sudo] password for set: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following extra packages will be installed: libenet2a libmikmod2 libsdl-mixer1.2 redeclipse-data The following NEW packages will be installed: libenet2a libmikmod2 libsdl-mixer1.2 redeclipse redeclipse-data 0 upgraded, 5 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. ----> *Need to get 0 B/656 MB of archives.* <---- ????????????????? After this operation, 772 MB of additional disk space will be used. Do you want to continue [Y/n]? So i go yes, of course nothing is downloaded so it's really alot faster than initial install. I check my drivers, all good. The game is not the problem. I remove it again, first with purge, and then autoremove to get rid of those 700+ mb I get this on on purge: The following packages will be REMOVED: redeclipse* 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded. After this operation, 4 625 kB disk space will be freed. Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y And then autoremove: The following packages will be REMOVED: libenet2a libmikmod2 libsdl-mixer1.2 redeclipse-data 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 4 to remove and 0 not upgraded. ---> *After this operation, 767 MB disk space will be freed.* <-- ????? Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y but i get suspicious so i check installation again: The following extra packages will be installed: libenet2a libmikmod2 libsdl-mixer1.2 redeclipse-data The following NEW packages will be installed: libenet2a libmikmod2 libsdl-mixer1.2 redeclipse redeclipse-data 0 upgraded, 5 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 0 B/656 MB of archives. ---> *After this operation, 772 MB of additional disk space will be used.* <---- SO my question is: how do i get rid of this data?
