Asked for additional logs and clarification. LP: #2020853 mysql-8.0: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.33-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 failed to … | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I spent some extra time on this and other mysql apport bugs, clarifying titles. (Lena may want to go through and dupe up some of them as I think we're seeing repeats of known issues). However, this one seems a bit unique, as it's getting an error, "Transaction for mysql.service/restart is destructive" that I don't see in other bug report logs. That said, I think this might be just another case of the "slow shutdown of old mysql breaks new mysql startup" bug. In this case, I notice the system is an ASUS laptop which may not be a hardware form-factor mysql is really optimized for. Since we rarely get further feedback from reporters, I didn't bother asking the user any questions, but left my thoughts/speculation for when Lena gets a chance to take a look at it. # dsctriage # no comments needing triaged -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
