Hello Geraint, or anyone else affected, Accepted paramiko into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/paramiko/1.7.7.1-3ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
