Due to the new "multiarch" dpkg feature, you can have the same library installed for multiple architectures simultaneously. This is useful for running i386 binaries on an amd64 system, among other things. However, the versions of the installed packages must always match, because they share architecture-independent files.
You'll need to also grab the new i386 binary and install both of them in the same dpkg invocation. ** Project changed: launchpad => mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1162993 Title: Debian package has wrong architecture To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1162993/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
