We *can* work around this in cloud-init, but I'd rather not. We currently have some code that decides that if there is no 'sda', and there is 'xvda', then "ephemeral0" should be xvda. We *could* extend that to have the same logic for xvde, but thats even more hacky.
I would rather have the kernel start enumerating at xvda rather than xvde. ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784937 Title: /mnt not mounted, swap not used, disk is xvde To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/784937/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
