Looking at the powerpc linux-image package (the equivalent provide the ibmasm module on i386 and amd64 architectures) I can't find any support for ibmasm in the kernel, i.e. no module for this architecture.
This would explain the error messages that you have seen during the installation of ibmasm-utils. The ibmasm module depends on a x86 architecture so is not supported by the kernel on powerpc. The ibmasm-utils package should be updated to reflect this dependency in the underlying module as it currently supports 'any' architecture. -- package ibmasm-utils should only support x86 based architectures https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/651877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to ibmasm-utils in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
