Clint: Based on what I read for the thread you posted, while the LD_PRELOAD is theoretically possible to implement in WINE it would require a large re- write of WINE. While this is possible, it's highly unlikely due to it requiring a large re-write of WINE. Hence, it seems the "Won't Fix" status is more appropriate than "Invalid".
