The host gets through part of the "walk" and then dies. after that point SNMP is not responsive on the system. snmpwalk -v2c -c COMMUNITY HOST .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1 works repeatedly but as soon as the SNMP walk is done against "HOST" the interfaces mib will not respond. I tried about 10 times to verify on my one system.
