I don't know right now if there is a "canonical" way of restoring a single file from a package. Too bad --reinstall didn't do it. You might have to get the postfix deb and extract /etc/postfix/postfix-files manually.
Here is a tip: https://askubuntu.com/questions/37156/how-to-restore-a -single-file-from-a-package Basically you dpkg-deb -x <deb> <somewhere> and than copy the file over. Or, maybe a sequence of "sudo apt remove postfix && sudo apt install postfix" will do it correctly, while preserving the config you have. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server, which is subscribed to postfix in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791403 Title: postfix 3.3.0 unable to create missing queue directories To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/1791403/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
