Thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu. This seems to be a duplicate of bug #1731502, where there was no network available when nmbd was restarted:
Status: "nmbd: No local IPv4 non-loopback interfaces available, waiting for interface ..." I suggest the following commands, after the network is available: sudo apt update sudo apt -f install Is your system one where the network takes a long time to come online, or perhaps it's only available after the user logs in, like in a wifi network? ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New => Opinion ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: Opinion => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788080 Title: app crashes on updating with sugested upgrades To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1788080/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
