Ok. Thanks for the update.

If that helps, I've been testing that more manually, either installing
the packages at the end of the installation (cd /target/tmp && wget
<...>.deb && chroot /target dpkg -i /target/tmp/*.deb), or by installing
the packages after system is already installed (just manually fixing the
boot problem at initramfs time break=pre-multipath for example).
