just install smbclient .. you can do this in the command window, not abslotuley sure but I think it is something like: sudo apt-get install smbclient Make sure that samba is not loaded when you do this. you need to do a stop on samba if it is running. This worked great fro me under Ubuntu 9.04 and solved my inability to print on a win box printer in my LAN. ron
