Thanks anders for that new piece of information. Could you give the output of 'dpkg -l | grep samba' just to be sure that you are running the patch version?
This seems to confirmed that the new version does fix Asynchronous I/O result, but not the fact that setreSuid results in EAGAIN error. That said, like I said, stopping samba on an EAGAIN error without retrying seems wrong. I don't think we can consider that getting an EAGAIN is a linux kernel bug.
