Binary package hint: update-manager

Upgrading Feisty to Heron - testing the naive route.

First - there was a hang with a syntax error in the blackjack XML.
Before I could decide what to do, get to a camera and set it up for a
screen shot, the hang self released. Probably not an issue

Second - I have a samba config. After comparing and confirming my
additions (side by side first but unreadable, then tried differences) I
wanted to use the new supplied config. I was expecting to go back
again from the differences to the selection, but either misread or
misclicked, and was told Samba installation had configuration problems.
A slight pain but again not an issue for me.

Third - Desktop could not be dealt with (I forget the exact message -
the stress of a failed upgrade doesn't help!)

And now update manager is leaving me with the concern that I might have
to reinstall!

Fortunately, a risk I was aware of and chose to take.
