It was based on the fix that was supplied by heindsight. It was applied after testing and confirming, like J Carrera did, that it worked. I don't have a machine with multiple interfaces available, but I suspect now that the code runs for *each* interface, causing NTP to be restarted multiple times. While annoying, this should not actually cause it to fail.
