Binary package hint: fail2ban Due to /var/run being mounted as tmpfs, after a reboot, the /var/run/fail2ban is no longer present. This stops fail2ban from starting. Adding something like "[ -d /var/run/fail2ban ] || mkdir /var/run/fail2ban" in the start section of /etc/init.d/fail2ban resolves the issue. ** Affects: fail2ban (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Confirmed -- fail2ban fails to start after reboot https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/222804 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is a direct subscriber. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
